My name is Matt Ontiveros, and I started Moments and Motions because I genuinely love helping people and businesses tell their story — not just what they do, but who they are.

I’ve always been drawn to film, storytelling, and the arts. But like a lot of people, I spent years trying to figure out how something creative could realistically turn into a career.

For a long time… it didn’t.

That changed in my late 30s when a colleague recommended me to help our area vice president create a video highlighting our region’s success. I had no real gear — just an iPhone and an iPad — but I said yes anyway.

That project changed everything.

The final video was a hit, but more importantly, it woke something up in me that had been sitting there for years. Something creative. Something I had put on the back burner.

From there, more opportunities started coming. My company leaned on me to create content, and I began taking on projects outside of work. What started as “just helping out” quickly turned into something much bigger.

And I realized I had a decision to make:

Play it safe… or bet on myself.

I chose to bet on myself.

That decision is what led to Moments and Motions.

Today, my goal is simple — to create work that actually makes people feel something. Whether it’s a brand, a business, a team, or a personal story, I believe the best content isn’t just seen… it’s experienced.

Because at the end of the day, everyone has a story worth telling.

The moments we live.
